Nothing touches my heart more than the little things in life. While cleaning the pool in my backyard, I heard a bird chirping. It was a pretty song, so I looked in the direction of the music. What I saw took my breath away! There in a tree stradling our fence was a nest. In that nest was a Momma bird singing to her two babies. I noticed that the babies were quite active in their corner of the nest. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the momma had just fed the babies. If you'll look closely, in the mouth of one of the babies is a cricket. I quickly ran inside to get a ladder to capture this glorious event in nature, a mother nurturing her young. I was able to get a picture of all three of the birds before the mother flew away. She did not fly far however, just to my neighbor's pole. I thought it beautiful to see the mother still watching over her babies as I took picture after picture, careful not to get too close. How beautiful are the simple things in life if you will just take the time to listen and find the music.
