Jefferson Colts & Ben Franklin Lions win 52nd annual Toy Bowl Game

Memorial Stadium played host to the 52nd Toy Bowl. The JV League championship game, which consists of 1st and 2nd graders, matched the Jefferson Colts and the Fowler Mustangs! Fans, players and coaches braved the chilly temperatures. The Jefferson Colts won the game 36-12. The Colts Edward Bautista had 15 carries for 213 yards and 3 touchdowns! The American League championship game, made up of 3rd and 4th graders, the Ben Franklin Lions played the Kate Burgess Wolverines! It was a slug fest early on in this on but in the end the Ben Franklin Lions pulled out a 25-18 win! Tuesday night at 7 in the National League title game with 5th and 6th graders will match up the Washington Jackson Chargers and the Ben Franklin Lions! Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students or a new toy! All donated toys will go to Operation Santa Clause!
