Sports KAUZ

Wichita Falls ISD Athletic Director Kenny Catney has filled several positions at the districts three high schools. First we begin at Rider where Alisha Franklin was named the head softball coach. She replaces Steve Wester who resigned. Franklin was a three year starter for the Lady Raiders and was the head softball coach at Petrolia the last few years. Also leaving Petrolia for Rider is Robby Wood. The former Pirates head football coach is now an assistant football coach. The new head boys hoops coach is Mark Richardson from Justin Northwest. He replaces Craig Snodgrass who resigned. Other changes at Rider, Ryan Gillan is the new head tennis coach, Josh Hill is the new head boys cross county coach and assistant boys soccer coach. Billy Mercer is the new head track coach. New football assistants are Tim pope, Lindy Welborn and Billy Davison. At Wichita Falls High, Jay Hill is the new assistant football coach. At Hirschi, Dustin Holley is the new head boys soccer coach and boy cross country coach. Kristin Searcy is the new girls cross country coach. New assistant football coaches are Dan Neuse and Jeff Pirkle.
