Pro sports is all about specialization and specialization has trickled down the college level and is now invading the high school level. About the only place left to play multiple sports is junior high school. Zundy 8th grade Colton Kowalick is one of several athletes taking advantage of the buffet of sports at the junior high level. Kowalick playing soccer isn't the only sport on his mind. Colton also plays basketball and tennis, making this a unique combo of sports."Almost a lot of people play a lot of different sports like basketball and football, track. Not a lot of people play tennis and soccer. A lot of different kids play a lot of sports," says Zundy eighth grader Colton Kowalick.

Kowalick says no sweat to playing three sports."It's pretty tough but its also a lot of fun. You always have some thing to do and have athletic challenges, " says Kowalick.Colton is good on the tennis courts as he was in the final four in the junior high singles and he won a tournament in Vernon. However, if you let Kowalick tell it his first love is being on the soccer pitch. "Definately soccer! I have played it a lot longer than the other sports. Almost nine years and I have enjoyed how the ball is moved and different aspects of it," says Kowalick.
