If you are a Wichita Falls Wildcats fan, you have developed a strong dislike for the Texas Tornado! The rivalry dates back to the time when Wichita Falls started playing hockey. Now it looks like the cats are going to have to find another rival! Channel 6 sports has learned from North American Hockey League sources that the Texas Tornado will not be playing hockey next year! No word was given why the team is folding! The Tornado has been around since 1999 and have won several league title including three straight NAHL titles between 2004-2006! One other note from the Wildcats, the team will be locking for a new assistant coach.Tom Murphy is leaving the Cats to coach the University of Oklahoma's club hockey team!
