Sports KAUZ

Several local teams were in a do or die situation in the playoffs. In high school baseball, Seymour completes a 2 game sweep of Claude in the Class A area round. Burburnett lost game two 15-2 and their Class 3A area series to Sanger. Graham loses 12-11 in game 2 of their Class 3A area series with Abilene Wylie. The Steers season is over. Vernon loses game 3 of their series with Decatur 7-5. Olney loses game 3 of  their Class 2A Area series to Crawford 7-6. Windthorst won game 2 over Trenton 7-6 but lose game 3 and the series 5-4. Petrolia completes a 2 game sweep of Poolville 4-2.

In softball, Notre Dame loses in the TAPPS 1A/2A Finals to Faith Academy Bellville 6-3. Emily Otto, Carrie Toth, Hannah Segura, Micah Cluley made the all tournament team. Burkburnett sweeps Graham in 2 games 7-2 in the Class 3A Regional Quarterfinals. Vernon loses game 2 11-7 and game 3 14-4 to Canyon to be knocked out ofthe Class 3A playoffs. Quanah loses 5-4 to Clarendon to give Clarendon a 2 game sweep.
