To get through any obstacle teamwork is the key. That's why Fort Sill's 6th battalion, 52nd Air Defense Artillery and Tinker Air Force Base's 3rd Combat Communications Group are training together.

"You're talking about extending the ability to talk, extending the ability to see, and then extending the ability to kill the target. If we were fighting this separately, we would both be limited," said LTC Artice Scott of Fort Sill.

Both soldier and airman are working to combine two different systems of communication, so the same language can be understood along the front lines. This exercise will make sure if that is even possible. The two week exercise is not only happening at Ft. Sill but also going on the same time at Tinker Air Force Base.

LTC Scott says, "What you see is the future of the army and the air force coming together to make sure that we defeat any threat anywhere at a safe location."

The training also helps the branches synch up the same air picture of any enemy targets in flight.

"There's no more big sky, little bullet. We don't fight that--we don't have that mind set." said LTC Scott.

Ultimately, decreasing the chance of friendly fire and instead. Strengthening a relationship important to Oeration Iraqi Freedom.
