Johnny Weeks Johnny Weeks, 79, of Wichita Falls died Monday, October 26, 2009 in Wichita Falls. Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Hampton Vaughan Chapel with Reverend Mike Sanders officiating. A committal service will follow at Crestview Memorial Park directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Johnny was born January 28, 1930 in Dozeir, TX to John G. and Mamie Louise (Honey) Weeks. He married the love of his life, Patricia Sue Garrett, October 27, 1952 in Wichita Falls. He lived most of his life in Wichita Falls and made his living as a traveling salesman. He never met a stranger and would light up any room with his presence. His family remembers him as a generous, kind man who had a word of encouragement for all who crossed his path. He was their champion and hero. Mr. Weeks is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mamie Weeks. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Pat Weeks; children and their spouses, Johnnie Lynn and Duane Phelps of Wichita Falls, Patricia Sue and Micheal Sheppard of Archer City, Elizabeth Michelle Torres, Johnny Mac Weeks, both of Wichita Falls, James David and Jo Elaine Weeks of Midland, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise Greenhouse of Amarillo, TX, Glenda and Jack Malone of Pampa, TX, Betty Gayle and Gene Slater of Amarillo, TX, Teresa and Donald Guinn of Grand Prairie, TX; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Betty Weeks, Ronnie and Ellen Weeks, Bobby and Bob Weeks, Kenny and Teri Weeks all of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Jeff, Melanie, Micheal, Trad, Jacie, Donnie, Clay, Patrick, Tyler; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. If desired memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls. More Good Stuff |
