Nola N. Brown Bice Nola N. Brown Bice, 84, of Wichita Falls died Thursday, April 30, 2009. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Faith Baptist Church, Wichita Falls officiated by Reverend Harvey McMurry. Interment will be at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, TX. Services are directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Nola was born August 30, 1924 in Rosebud, TX as the sixth and last child of Mary Anne and Joseph Brown. She graduated from Waco High School in 1942 and married James Roberts Bice on February 14, 1948. She was a woman of great character, a devoted wife of 61 years, loved her church family and found great joy in her quilting friends. Survivors include her husband Bob Bice; daughter Merianne Wright; son Paul Bice both of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren, Chase Bice, Blair Bice, John Wright, Stephen Wright and Caitlin Wright; and one great-granddaughter, Chloe Beatrice Bice. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation from her family are extended to the caring members of Nola’s Sunday School class at Faith Baptist Church, her medical caregivers, Dr. Lori Hanes and nurse, Tina Carver, and to the staff and volunteers of Hospice of Wichita Falls. Memorials may be made to Peace Makers Bee of Faith Baptist Church, Hospice of Wichita Falls, or Pieces of Eight Bee quilters. More Good Stuff |
