Man Wins $166 Million, Hard Rock Tells Him It was a "Machine Error"

A Florida man thought he hit the jackpot, but people at the Hard Rock said, Hey, not so fast!"

Bill Seebeck had been playing a slot machine for about half an hour when bells starting ringing and the numbers flashed in front of him, indicating he had won a cash bonus of over $166 million. As Seebeck was deciding what to do with the money, casino managers told him his machine had malfunctioned and he wouldn't be getting any cash.

"They make you think you won, and everyone around you that you won, then at the end of it, an hour later, it's probably a malfunction," Seeback said. Seebeck is looking for a lawyer to help him through the maze of federal indian gaming regulations.

The Seminole Gaming Commission plans to investigate.
