DAISETTA, Texas (AP) - The massive Southeast Texas sinkhole just keeps growing. The sinkhole near the town of Daisetta has swallowed oilfield  equipment, telephone poles and vehicles. Corporal Hugh Bishop of the Liberty County Sheriff's Office says the hole grew overnight to about 600 yards in diameter and anywhere from 150 to 250 feet deep. But he says the hole isn't much closer to the main road running through Daisetta. The town of about 1,000 residents is about 60 miles northeast of Houston. No injuries nor home damage has been reported from the sinkhole, which first began growing yesterday. State regulators and other officials are still trying to figure out what prompted it. Investigators with the Texas Railroad Commission are checking pipelines and trying to determine if any regulations have been violated. So far, no pollutants have been detected.
