Guy Traylor has invested a lot into his travel stop business - cooking, organizing, and 1.4 million dollars.  And yet when word came that a McDonalds's is moving next door, Traylor says he's loving it!

"If they're gonna be in town, I'm glad they're gonna be next door to me.  I believe it will pull more people off the highway and I believe it will incerase my business and increase people stopping in Iowa Park.

Today the Wichita County Commissioners Court approved a tax abatement deal that would bring the "Golden Arches" to the corner of Rt. 368 and highway 287 in Iowa Park.

And the news is leaving officials and residents smiling.

"The McDonald's at that particular intersection is another piece to the puzzle to developing that entire part of town," says Commissioner Barry Mahler.   "And [we're sure] it will bring businesses there and therefore there will be jobs and tax revenues and it will be good for the local economy."

And for Iowa Park business owners like Traylor, the more visitors, the merrier - especially if they want a healthier option.

Traylor comments, "Oh you have your healthy choices there, but we have extremely healthy choices at my Subway."
