Annual Veterans' Day Parade

Texomans said 'Thank You' to veterans November 7th with the Annual Veterans' Day Parade. The parade traveled downtown to the reviewing stand at 8th and Scott where Parade Marshall Brigadier General O.G. Mannon was joined by dignitaries and veterans.

A final farewell salute was given to General Mannon and his family. Mannon is moving on to be the Vice Commander of Air Force Special Operations Command in Florida. Veterans' day is this Wednesday (November 11th).

This morning's event also included a special salute to World War II Veterans. Each branch of service marched together as a unit following their individual service banner.

Family members of deceased veterans marched, following their units, carrying signs designating the loved one from whom they were marching.
