Proposition 11 Passes With Large Majority

Another property based amendment also won support from voters. Proposition 11 deals with power of eminent domain and was approved.

The amendment reinforces a state law which already prohibits private property from being taken for economic development or increased tax revenue with adequate compensation, even if the owner does not wish to sell.

More than 81 percent voted in favor of Prop Eleven.
