Proposition 11 Deals With Eminent Domain

Proposition 11 deals with eminent domain. That allows the state to take private property for public use as long as there is adequate compensation.

Proposition 11 seeks to limit that. If it passesm the state will only be able to claim eminent domain for certain economic development or for increased taxed revenue purposes.

State law already follows this, but the constitutional amendment would reinforce it.
