Thornberry Shares His Opinion on Public Option Health Care
One of Texoma's representatives is speaking out on how the government is handling the H1N1 outbreak. Representative Mac Thornberry says it doesn't give him a lot of faith when it comes to healthcare reform. This week, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced a bill which includes a type of public option that will allow each state to decide if it will participate. Thornberry says he doesn't believe the bill will be good for Texoma or the state of Texas. Rep. Mac Thornberry, (R) Texas, said,"Sometimes, they make it very difficult for states to opt out just because of the funding implications. In other words, you lose a lot of money sometimes if you don't pick the option the government wants you to. Thornberry says he has proposed alternative health reform bills and will continue to oppose any public option. When did healthcare become a Right? I have always known healthcare as fringe benefit offered by your employer. If individuals are choosing to not purchase healthcare NOW, what makes you think they will want to purchase it from the government? "Socialized Medicine/Universal Healthcare", what ever name you want to put on it does not change the fact that our government is failing @ running the current Medicare/Medicaid medical programs. Learn how to exicute these plans before creating "OBAMACare".
