Stephens County: Under-Sheriff's Brake Lines Were Cut

The Stephens County Sheriff's Office said someone cut the brake lines to the under-sheriff's vehicle.

Sheriff Wayne McKinney believes the break lines were cut while the truck was parked at the courthouse, because Undersheriff John Smith's home has an electronic gate. Smith said they found three little slices in the break lines, so it's hard to estimate when they were cut.

Currently, investigators are looking at survellance video of the courthouse. If you have any information, call the Stephens County Sheriff's Office at 580-255-3131.
