Meth Bust In Montague Nets Drugs And Arrests

Dan Garcia

The North Texas Drug Task Force, was busy doing what they do best, chasing down the bad guys.  This time it was in Montague County. However it all comes just a week after, Montague County Commissioners decided to stop funding, The Task Force.  The two agencies busted a house just North of Bowie.  They found liquid meth, a meth lab and several items used to manufacture the drug.

Five people were arrested, three for allegedly manufacturing a controlled substance, and two for drug paraphernalia.

If the needed Task Force funding doesn't come through, the county will have to hire someone else to come in, and clean up any future meth labs.

Montague County Sheriff Bill Keating said if they do it's going to cost a lot more then it would to keep the Task Force.

Nortex is meeting with all county judges and city managers tomorrow, to further discuss the Task Force.
