Firework Offenders Will Be Caught

KAUZ News

Police are pouring through paperwork from fireworks calls this weekend. It is illegal to pop fireworks inside city limits, so patrols were out in force to try and catch offenders.

Officers said they responded to 289 calls. That's nearly 100 calls less than last year, but the rain might have played a role in that. Police will have a total on the number of citations issued soon.

It's a shame WFPD doesn't live up to the same standards that apply to ordinary citizens. My WFPD neighbor is a consistent violator of this ordinance. Every year he lights them up and nothing is done, even though several of us call to complain.
