Tom Crane, Ad Man, GM and Weather Anchor Passed Away

KAUZ News

Texoma is mourning the loss of a former long-time weather forecaster. Tom Crane passed away Monday morning. After serving in the Air Force, he began working at KFDX where he was popularly known as Tom Crane, the "Weathervane."

Crane left KFDX in 1970 and became a well known Texoma businessman as owner of Crane Consulting, an advertising and marketing agency. Crane recently had triple bypass surgery in Plano.

On his way home from Plano this past Friday, complications arose from a blood clot, causing Crane to have a stroke. He was taken back to the hospital where he passed away. Texoma's thoughts and prayers are with his family.
