Tea Party Rallyists Gather Together For Government Change

"TEA stands for taxed enough already and what we're out here doing.. We're just voicing our concerns the massive spending going on in Washington." says Tony Corsaut, TEA Party Coordinator.

The group says they are non-partisan and they welcome anyone who thinks the Obama administration is spending too much money. They say Obama's energy policy is their biggest concern.

"Right now it's cap and trade because that's going to affect every middle class family in the united states There's a lot of things in that bill that people aren't aware of." he continues.

However, the Obama administration says the new energy bill will help create jobs and improve the economy.

Obama says: "The American people know that the nation that leads in building a 21st century clean energy economy is the nation that will lead in creating a 21st century global economy. I want America to be that nation."

The tea party patriots say the government is taxing more things, and spending more money on things like health care.  And that doesn't sit well with them.

"There's nothing in the constitution about health care. We are the tax payers. They work for us and we want them to get the message that we the people want a change in Washington and not the type of change we're seeing."

The group says they welcome any taxpayer out to their festivities. They say admission is free, and there will even be activities for children.

"We just have a full slate of activities. It's going to go right up to til the city sets off it's fireworks, and we see our tax dollars in action."

"Taxed enough already". Organizers say that's what the TEA in tea party stands for. It's also the groups' rallying cry.

Uh, PM, I was there, along with my family and there were far more than ten. I'm sure the heat (first) then the thunderstorm drove lots of folks to cover, but there were lots of people there. Stop being so bitter. I hear there is another event in the works. When? We are there!
