Government Issues Safety Warning on Popular Pool Toy

KAUZ News

Before you head to the pool with your kids this weekend, we've got an important safety warning.

The government has issued a voluntary recall of around four million inflatable baby floats due to a drowning hazard. Officials say the leg straps in the seat of the floats can tear, causing children to unexpectedly fall into the water.

The 14 models are made by Aqua-Leisure Industries, and the floats were sold at Target, Toys-R-Us, Walmart, Dollar General, Walgreens, Ace Hardware, and Bed Bath and Beyond between the dates of December 2002 and 2009.
