Festivities of the Jim Bowie Days Celebration Continues

The 43rd annual Jim Bowie Days celebration continued through today, June 27th. The event was packed full of festivites for people of all ages.


Today's events included: a panty race, cowboy stampede, Indian artifacts show, horseshoe contest, quilt show, turtle races, frog jumping,. a chuck wagon cook-off, a classic car show, various childrens activities, and exhibits of western hertitage and art.


Our own Heather Mills judged the "Tiny Tot & Beautiful Baby" contest that was held at Bowie Junior High.


The festival ended with the Cowboy Rodeo, which started around 8:00 that night.
