Whoever said strapping on high heels and walking in them was a bad thing never meet the women of MSU's Alpha Phi sorority. Today was their second annual High Heel Walk for cardiac aid. Walkers were seranaded with live music and door prizes were given away before and after the walk. All proceeds raised will benefit research and aid for people fighting heart disease.

"We like to encourage people to wear heels, the proceeds of the walk go to our foundation the alpha phi foundation and it supports cardiac research and care. We donate 50 thousand dollars a year." Said melissa stewart, president of Alpha Phi.

In the United States about half a million people die every year from heart disease. Making it the number one killer of both men and women.
