Dan Garcia joins me now to give us an idea of the experience just one family had with Hospice of Wichita Falls. Ken, last June Dail Neely's father was taken to Hospice of Wichita Falls. He only planned to be there to become stable enough to spend his last days at home, but passed away in the facility. A hard time for him and his family, but one Hospice made easier.

This is the facility where Dail Neely's father came last June. He was terminally ill. Dail, his siblings and mother were also here for support, but this was the first time they had gone through this type thing, and knew very little of what to expect, other than their father was here to be taken care of.

Dail Neely said "It was almost like we were patients here too, because they took care of us as well." Mr. Neely had osteo arthritis and along with everything else was in severe pain in his lumbar vertebrae. It was Hospice's pain management care that really made a difference.

Dail Neely said, "He was always chipper and wanted to talk and stuff and it was the first time in a long time he'd been without pain. So the pain management was something we never imagined could happen."

Neely said Hospice takes a look at the overall situation and really works hard to take care of the patient and family. Dail Neely said, "They did take care of him, but you would expect that., but the way they took care of us was amazing." The kind of care, the lighting of the tree of lights helps to support.

Once again, the goal is 175 thousand dollars, you will have a chance over the next few weeks to light a light in honor of someone, or just to help. We'll keep you posted on how that's going and we'll be back here when the star is lit hopefully for the rest of the holiday season. We'll check back in with Ken in a few minutes with more on the tree of lights campaign.
