Wichita River Level Drops Rapidly

Between 50 and 75 homes are damaged, but looking at the Wichita River today, you might not know there was a flood.

The latest report shows the river is at a little more than four feet. That's a normal level. Tuesday, the river was raging at nearly 21 feet, well past its flood stage.

The water level dropped rapidly, falling anywhere from 1 to 1.5 feet an hour.
