Chase Suspect Puts Truck in River

News1 KAUZ

A two-state chase ends with the suspect in handcuffs and his truck in the Wichita River.
Police say they began chasing Billy Lewis Reed in Cotton Couny, Oklahoma. They believe he was trying to get away because of drug charges. We're told he threw a package out of his truck. No word on what was inside. The vehicle chase ended when the suspect crashed into the Wichita River, but officers say they had to run after Reed.
He was caught, treated and released from United Regional and thrown in jail. Reed is facing a charge of evading in a vehicle.
