Clean up continues today in the small town of Odell, located just outside of Vernon.  A storm hammered the area Monday night.

Seeing the severe damage, there's no question why many residents want to know what exactly hit the area Monday night.

"It had to be a twister or two." said Odell resident Cody Crownover.

Nearly every other resident in Odell, agrees with Cody and taking a look at the damage you can see why.

 "From the look of the trees mangled and the metal sheets twisted in the limbs it just brought back bad memories of 1979." said Larry Lee Wilbarger County Sheriff.

Sheriff Lee also says 40 homes and numerous barns are damaged, and adds many are a complete loss! Including the Crownovers new two story home.

 "I heard a bunch of noise and stuff and I looked out a couple of times and saw where I could see the sky so I knew the roof was gone." said Cody Crownover.

The roof and second floor ripped off, water damage all over the house and numerous broken windows. Utility crews are out in masses, replacing more than 200 electrical poles.  It could takes weeks to cleanup Odell, but the community isn't the only Wilbarger County town affected by the storms. Severe damage was also reported just West of Lockett and in the Farmers Valley area. Miraculously not one single injury was reported!.
