Picher Update: Tornado Aftermath

News1 KAUZ

The Environmental Protection Agency says Picher, Oklahoma residents aren't at higher health risks.

Officials were worried a deadly weekend tornado raised airborne lead levels, but tests show it wasn't enough to create a greater health risk.

The tornado killed seven people. Officials say the government was in the process of buying out residents because it was a superfund site, so any money given will be used for relocation--not rebuilding.
