It costs more to mail a letter or a package. The price of stamps went up a penny today, to $0.42.


The price of the "Forever" stamp also went up to $0.42, but if you already have "Forever" stamps from the previous price, they're still good to use.


Officials say the price of stamps will go up again next May.
