Pope Arrives In The United States Tuesday

Wichita Falls residents could hear the bells ringing at Sacred Heart Catholic Church this afternoon. The sounds marked the Pontiff's first visit to the United States. Pope Benedict the Sixteenth landed at three this afternoon.

 

President Bush, First Lady Laura Bush and their daughter, Jenna helped greet the Pontiff. During the flight to the U.S. The Pope addressed the clergy sex abuse scandal.

 

He says he is deeply ashamed of the problem and vows to keep pedophiles out of the priesthood.
