Local car dealership Brodie Mitsubishi Kia is facing a lawsuit. Mitsubishi Motors Credit Of America, or MMCA, claims the dealership owes them nearly a million dollars in unpaid inventory they've sold.

MMCA is requesting a temporary restraining order and injunctive relief from Brodie Mitsubishi Kia. Back in August of 2005, documents show Brodie signed a loan and security agreement under which MMCA would finance the dealership's purchase of 40 vehicles. 

In the copy of the court documents filed Monday against the car dealership MMCA claims Brodie has failed to pay back close to a million dollars in inventory already sold by the dealership and are refusing to do so.

Mitsibishi Credit says despite its demands, the company isn't getting the advances Brodie owes them. So MMCA is asking the court to force the dealership to return all remaining inventory and pay the money that's owed.

Channel Six spoke with a manager at Brodie who said it's under a 'by-sell contract' with another dealership, and until that's worked out-Brodie isn't able to sell anything.

A woman who's husband works at Brodie Mitsubischi tells Channel Six News employees were told to cash their paycheck yesterday afternoon before 1:00 because the company's accounts would be frozen.
