Wichita Falls - Wichita Falls has seen three homicides this year. The latest one happened last Friday. A man was shot to death inside a room at the Econo Lodge on Fifth Street.

When police are done with the crime scene clean up crews move in.  Service Masters, a local clean up service who deals with what they call "Trauma Clean Up."

Owner Frank McKnight says depending on the situation, it can take up to five days to properly clean a crime scene. They wash everything from floors and walls to dishes. He says it all has to be cleaned and dis-infected. Mcknight says their biggest concern is getting rid of anything that has blood on it. "That's a primary concern is that they can get Hepatitus B or HIV. Anything that can be carried in body fluids or blood is a contaminate," said McKnight.

McKnight says in the case of the Econo Lodge murder, he suggests hotel owners get rid of mattresses and carpet,  because that's just something you can't clean.
