Local Teen Dies At Haunted House

News1 KAUZ

Tonight..A family mourns the loss of their teenage daughter. Elizabeth Fetzer died last night at a Wichita Falls haunted house called the Tower of Terror. It was inside Elevator Rock Climbing Gym on Bridge Street.

"The only thing bigger than her smile was her heart," says Sheryl Kingade, Elizabeth's high school band director.

19-year-old Elizabeth led an active life, and had a passion for helping people. She was a volunteer firefighter and worked at royal estates as a nurses aide. Her family says she loved her job and loved to make people smile.

"When she would go to clinicals, she adopted people there that she was working with. She called them her family," says her former teacher Carl Bishop.

She graduated from Hirschi High School in 2006, and her teachers remember her fondly. They say her passions were her friends and being with others.

The owners of Elevator Rock say their thoughts and prayers are with the Fetzer's as they grieve their daughter.

Kingade says, "I think she'll be remembered for her smile, and the way she helped everybody."
