In tonight's Cold Case report, we take a look at a man from Munday, Texas who was killed in Wichita Falls. The tragic murder happened 28 years ago on November 9, 1980.

  "...police say Michael Willoughby's body was found, near the Wichita dam, which is now known as the spillway. Michael was actually in Wichita Falls at the time, visiting his terminally ill mother at the hospital. But he went missing, and ended up dead."

His murder along with those responsible still remains a mystery. Especially for Glenda Jackson, who was with Michael the night before.

At the time, Glenda was married to Michael's brother Pat.

"Pat's mother was in the hospital with cancer and she was dying and we stopped in Munday to pick up Pat's brother."

Glenda says they drove to the falls and stayed at a downtown motel.

Pat's brother, Mike, was in one room and we were in another and then the next morning when we went to pick him up and take him to the hospital he didn't answer the door.

Glenda and Pat filed a missing persons report. The next day, his body was found in tall weeds.

Officers say a couple walking along the west end of the wichita dam are the ones who spotted him. The couple flagged down another passerby for help, but when officers arrived they found Willougby with a deadly blow to the back of the head.

Glenda says Michael had taken out a small loan the before heading to the falls. She says Michael was a little slow and feels someone took complete advantage. She says Michael's mother died shortly after, making it one of the hardest times ever for the family and for Michael's brother, Pat, who has since passed away.

"To have to bury his brother and mother all about a week apart, ya know, it's just really a sad situation and it would be nice to have closer to the situation."

Witness told officers the day before, that they spotted an older model brown vehicle parked near where the body was found. They say a white man was in the driver's seat, a white female in the front passenger's seat, and another white man was laying on the ground beside the vehicle. Police say that man could have been Willoughby.
