The mystery started just before midnight, Steptember 7, 1985.

"He heard a knock at door and just like anyone gets up goes to door and answers the front door." said WFPD Officer Harold McClure.

 Officers say once Terry opened the door an un-known black male, forced his way inside and began to struggle with Terry.

Sharon, his wife, told police that's when Terry started yelling at her in the other room,  to bring his gun.

Police say Sharon saw the killer from her bedroom, standing over Terry, but the gunman quickly took off.  When police arrived, Terry was pronounced dead.

As for Tyrone, the thing that still stands out about that night is,  

"Terry never went to the door with out a gun in his hand." said English.

He says although time has passed, the murder has only brought grief over the past two decades

 " I would like to see some kind of justice done."
