The Wichita Falls Wichita County Public Health District is no longer taking appointments for H1N1 vaccinations. There are no vacancies available.

Clinics of North Texas patients still have an opportunity to get vaccinated for H1N1, because the hospital still has about 300 doses of the vaccine available. Only patients who meet the Centers for Disease Control's guidelines for vaccination are being accepted, and it's all free of charge.

Interim Nursing Supervisor Barbara Alambar said, "The vaccine is free. It is state funded right now, so as far as we know that's not going to change. As long as our vaccines hold out and there is state funds there won't be a charge to the patients."

Alambar said the clinics will be next Wednesday and Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
