As Texoma and the nation tries to understand the Fort Hood tragedy a Wichita Falls airman is honored for his service. Sergeant Angel Armendariz recently returned from serving six months in Iraq.

This morning the Wichita Falls North Rotary Club paid tribute to sergeant Armendariz during a breakfast at Luby's. The sergeant is grateful but says his wife should also be praised.

"Its not just me whose part of this it is my family as well and honestly in my own opinion I believe I had the easy part. You know my wife was here taking care of everything at home, you know we have two children there's things she just had to do to make everything. Life didn't stop when I left you, know she picked it up and ran with it."

Sergeant Armendez is the first Sheppard airman to be honored during the Wichita Falls North Rotary Club Breakfast.
