Texoma is pulling together to help the victims of the Fort Hood shooting. The American Red Cross is taking blood donations today (November 6th).

The Wichita Falls Chapter has sent about 150 units of blood down south and much more is headed that way. When we went to the Red Cross this morning, every bed was filled, one of them with a retired lieutenant colonel.

Charlie Simons, retired Lt. Colonel said, "We all need to pray for our troops no matter Ft. Sill, Ft. Hood, around the world troops are doing their duty all over the world we just need to pray for them."

The American Red Cross blood center will be taking donations until 8 this evening.

To make an appointment, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE. They are also accepting walk-ins. The American Red Cross is located at 1809 5th street in Wichita Falls.
