Prop Eight: State Can Now Contribute to Veterans' Hospitals

Proposition Eight is officially a Texas state amendment.

Before it passed, the state could not contribute to a veteran's hospital run by the federal government. Now Texas can contribute money, property and other resources to assist veterans' hospitals and establish new ones. More than 74 percent were for the change.
