  The Humane Society of Wichita County is working to make sure you never loose your pet forever.  At a special workshop on Saturday, October 24th the society chipped several animals.
  Chipping is when a microchip about the size of a grain of rice is inserted between the shoulders of cats and dogs.
  This will allow workers to identify your pet if the Humane Society ever finds the lost animal.
  "We are seeing at the shelter as we scan every animal that comes in and we are starting now that people are starting to do it, we are able to place them back in their homes much much quicker." says Executive Director of Humane Society of Wichita County.
  Officials say while the microchip technology has been around for years, it has only recently caught on with pet owners.
