Vernon Woman Charged With Capital Murder

A Vernon mother is charged with the death of her five-year-old daughter.

Police say 22-year-old Kristina Earnest and her boyfriend took the little girl to the hospital this weekend. She was unresponsive and later pronounced dead.

Earnest is charged with capital murder. Police will not say exactly how the girl died until they receive final autopsy reports.

I don't know who you are, but I was at the hospital when Kristi delivered Kati and I helped take care of her till she was almost 4 months old. Kristi is the one who took off and kept Kati from us. I kept up with Kati the best I could, even though Kristi was always running away. I loved that little girl more than you will ever know and how dare you question my love for Kati. You are sick.

we really need to think about this... the boyfriend has a history of abuse, drugs, domestic violence, does anyone know what he might have done to Kati? we dont know, we are too fast to assume that Kristi did it all.. We dont know all of the facts to this case...

Kati was my granddaughter. She was the most beautiful little girl in the world. She looked just like her daddy. I hope that Kristi gets everything she deserves as well as her sorry piece of a human being that was her boyfriend. I hope they rot in jail for the rest of their life. I dont understand how a person can do this to their own child. and try and cover it up with a saying she drowned. I am devastated with the results of the autopsy. This little girl didnt not deserve this done to her. What could a 5 year do or say to an adult to make them hit her in the stomach 5 times with a closed fist. The mother will pay for this... why do people keep killing their children??? something has got to be done to prevent this, all these people getting on drugs and taking their problems out on their children. I hope this mom fries, she was just a little girl, God will make her pay for this.
