An elderly woman was safely found after missing for more than nine hours.

Wichita Falls police say 86-year-old Laverne Rush was reported missing around 9:45 the night of June 30th. Family and officers were extremely worried because Rush suffers from Alzheimers.

Officers received help from the Wichita County Sheriff's office and the Allred Correctional Unit offered its K-9 search assistance. Teams searched all night and were able to locate Rush around seven the next morning.

She was found in a field around Trigg and Pearlie. She was not injured and was returned back to her family.
