Texas man accused of hacking into clinic computers

DALLAS (AP) -- A security guard is accused of hacking into computers at a Dallas medical clinic where he worked in hopes of launching a massive computer attack before or on July 4.

Jesse William McGraw is being detained following his arrest Friday on a charge of downloading malicious code into a computer without authorization. A court hearing is scheduled Wednesday.

Attorney information for McGraw, 25, could not immediately be located. He worked for United Protection Services as an overnight guard at The Carrell Clinic, which specializes in orthopedic care.

An affidavit says McGraw leads the "Electronik Tribulation Army" hacker group and wanted other hackers to help him assume control of some computers and use them to attack others. The affidavit alleges McGraw intruded into computers containing patient information and controlling cooling and ventilation. A network security researcher reported the activity.

Clinic administrator Tom Blair tells The Dallas Morning News there was no evidence patient information was compromised.
