In our eye on crime, a Lawton policeman is on administrative leave after shooting a man to death.

The officer says he tried to pull over 25 year old Marcell Johnson around 10:30 last night for driving wrecklessly. There was a short chase.

The officer says when it ended at 13th and Summit, Johnson got out of his vehicle and walked toward the officer while reaching for something. The officer felt threatened and shot at Johnson.

The 25 year old died at Comanche County Hospital. The Oklahoma State Buerau of Investigation says the hospital bagged up Johnsons belongings and agents will look through them to see if he had a weapon.
