Generous Donations Given After Foster Home Fire

News1 KAUZ

It's being called a miraculous blessing. A Texoma business helps another after a house fire last week destroyed five rooms full of clothes and other items for hundreds of area children.

When everything inside was burned or ruined, the Wichita County Area Foster Parents Association wasn't sure what to do next.

Until they heard from Duncan Business Owner Arelene Aoki, she has always been a giver.

"This is what Gods plan for us has been all along." said Aoki.

And this time is no different.

When Arlene and her husband Stan heard about the fire at the foster clothes closet, they invited the organizer, Karen Allen, to their store, Arlene's Clothes Line.

Allen was allowed to take as much as she needed to get the clothes closet up and running. But the closet helps foster kids in more ways than one!

The clothes closet is also vital for foster parents.

"You don't know what type of placement your going to get and you need a place to go cause you don't know if it's a baby, a 3 year old, a 7 year old and you have to have access to stuff." said Foster Mother Janet Taylor.

Making this gift, is truly a miracle for hundreds.

Karen said, "I'm just grateful to her and her husband we are excited to get started again."
