The Wichita Falls Independent School District has a lower enrollment this year, but not by much.

Officials say so far there are 17 less students enrolled for the 08-09 school year, but there could still be some last minute add ins. Meanwhile, the district is celebrating another 'superior achievement' raiting under the Texas schools financial integrity rating system of Texas, or first.

First helps make sure districts are using money wisely. The system began six years ago and the W.F.I.S.D. has received superior achievement each year.
