Soldiers Return To Fort Sill.... Welcomed By Families

Dan Garcia

Lawton (AP) - It's time for some R-and-R for some soldiers home from Iraq.

One hundred arrived in Fort Sill this Tuesday afternoon to a big welcome home ceremony. The soldiers are from Battery D, 1st Battalion, 14th Field Artillery. Friends and family are glad to have them back on U.S. soil after months of fighting.

The soldiers are returning home as Iraq leaders push for all other U.S. military to be out of the country. Iraq and the U.S. have tentatively agreed to a majority of troops gone by the end of 2011. Yesterday Iraq's prime minister said he wants *all* troops out by then.

The White House says it will not commit to a timetable for full withdrawal.
