Update: Bowman To Be Charged In Two Other Murders

Dan Garcia

A Bowie man facing charges for the death of a Scotland woman is believed to have killed a couple in Montague County.

District attornies say Wallace Wayne Bowman will be charged with two counts of Capital Murder for the deaths of 54-year-old James Craig France and 53-year-old Karen Bohn France. Officials say they were killed, then their home on Applegate Road in Bowie was set on fire.

Attornies say their bodies were found last Friday, the same day deputies say Bowman robbed 46-year-old Mindy Daffern at gunpoint, then kidnapped her from a Scotland convenience store. Bowman later led deputies to Daffern's body near Sunset in Montague County. Autopsies are being done on Daffern and James and Karen France to determine how they were killed. Officials say as soon as that is finished and the paperwork is filed, Bowman will be charged with three counts of Capital Murder.

Right now, he's charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery in Archer County. Mindy Daffern's funeral and memorial service will be held on Friday.
