Wichita Falls Red Cross Personnel Headed To Aftermath of Dolly

Tools

Dan Garcia

A few Texoma residents are getting away from the heat--only to deal with another weather problem.

The local American Red Cross has sent five volunteers to South Texas.

They are going to help residents affected by Hurricane Dolly. About 200,000 people don't have power and more than 6,500 shelters are packed.

The Red Cross volunteers will set up mobile kitchens to help feed displaced residents. President Bush has declared a major disaster for hurricane damaged areas. Dolly is considered a tropical storm now.
